Tesco's NURTURE program has evolved to become the GLOBALG.A.P. IFA NURTURE add-on module, specifically focused on the rigorous management of the Plant Protection Product List (PPPL).
This module sets out a number of key requirements and practices for Tesco's fruit and vegetable growers and suppliers to ensure that produce production and handling systems are run in a sustainable, responsible and environmentally friendly manner.
Only growers linked to Tesco-approved primary suppliers, and who are certified or in the process of certification under the GLOBALG.A.P. Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) standard, can apply for assessment against the NURTURE module, which must be carried out through an approved Certification Body (CB).
