It verifies the presence and quantity of organic matter in a final product, and tracks the flow of raw materials from their origin to the final product. OCS enables transparent, consistent, and complete independent evaluation and verification of organic matter content claims on products
The standard is divided into 2 categories:
OCS 100: Covers the processing, manufacturing, packaging, labelling, trade and distribution of a product containing at least 95% certified "organic" materials. It can be used as a "business-to-business" tool to give companies the means to ensure they are selling quality and getting what they are paying for.
OCS BLENDED: Covers the processing, manufacturing, packaging, labelling, trade and distribution of a product containing at least 5% certified "organic" materials. It can be used as a "business-to-business" tool to give companies the means to ensure they are selling quality and getting what they are paying for.
