GRASP

The GLOBALG.A.P Risk Assessment on Social Practice (GRASP) is mainly based on document checks and is to assess social risks in primary production. GRASP supports producers to address important social issues and build awareness at farm level.
GRASP consists 13 Control points and Compliance Criteria;
  • 11 Control points for single producers and producer groups
  • 1 extra Controlpoint for the producers groups Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • 1 controlpoint for recommended social practices.
  • GRASP can be assessed in combination with the GLOBALG.A.P. primary production standards or equivalent benchmarked schemes/AMC. Furthermore, GRASP can be assessed in any country – even where GLOBALG.A.P. approved GRASP National Interpretation Guideline does not exist. In case a country does not have a GRASP interpretation Guideline, the applicants need to hand in a project plan for the development of such an interpretation guideline to the GLOBALG.A.P. Secretariat.
