JAS - Japanese Organic Regulation

Organic certification for agricultural and wild harvested products under JAS standards for the Japanese market.
Organic agriculture can be characterized in some basic ideas, such as soil fertility is maintained or improved, chemicals such as pesticides or artificial nitrogen fertilizers are not used or produced, animal welfare is ensured.

The JAS certificate is the Japanese organic agricultural production certificate, created by the Japanese Ministry of Forestry, Fisheries and Agriculture.

It is necessary for clients who want to export their organic production to Japan, even if they have certificates from other countries.

To obtain this certificate you must meet the standards:
JAS - "Japanese Agricultural Standards" and be certified by a certifier accredited by the Japanese government (MAFF), such as Control Union Certifications (Skal International)

Once the certification is approved, the JAS symbol must be used on the products.

If you are interested in certifying your project under this program, download the Organic Application Form, fill it out with your data and send it to commercial.peru@controlunion.com so that we can make you a quote.
