Sustainable Tourism Certification
Sustainable tourism certifications are designed to voluntarily assess and monitor the environmental and social impacts of tourism organizations or destinations that facilitate tourism activities. Independent competent verification of the sustainability performance of tourism business can be done by accredited certification bodies.
GSTC – Global Sustainable Tourism Council
The Global Sustainable Tourism Council’s (GSTC) criteria are an effort to come to a common understanding of sustainable tourism and are the minimum that any tourism business should aspire to reach.

Green Choice
Sustainable or ecological tourism is an area of tourist activity that has begun to gain strength when choosing a destination, as environmental awareness and the importance of biodiversity preservation has grown worldwide. Control Union created the Green Choice certification in 2013 as a sustainable tourism standard that is based on policies already established around the world and adapted to local conditions.
