    About the standard

GLOBALG.A.P. is the standard for Good Agricultural Practices (G.A.P.).
As the most important food safety certification worldwide, it continues to gain
ground in the field of certifications for fresh fruits and vegetables for export, with a

    Certification Process

    Applying for GLOBALG.A.P

    Application

Complete the application form and return it to comercial.peru@controlunion.com. CU will review the information and determine whether it is possible to provide you with a financial proposal.

    Contract

Our commercial representatives will send you a financial proposal describing the service costs per calendar year. Along with the offer letter, you will receive the contract terms and conditions. If you agree with the offer, please return a copy signed by the legal representative. Once this is completed, you will enter into an agreement with CU to join one of our certification programs.

    Planification

After receiving the payment of the fee for the service, CU will send you the relevant documents that you must complete before carrying out the audit, and we will be planning the date of the audit at the same time.

    Initial Audit

It is the first audit of the client for a CU certification program. An auditor or qualified audit team will evaluate the compliance of its operation regarding the program requirements. As a result of the audit, it can be identified Non- Conformities (NCs) against the program requirements. The auditor will inform you of these during the closer meeting and will tell you the deadlines for resolving them. You must submit your corrections, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to resolve the NCs. This information will be evaluated by the auditor, who will determine whether it is enough to close the NC.

    Certification decision

Based on the audits results (reports, analysis results, operational information, among others), a certifier will decide about your operation, granting or not the certification.

    Maintaining Certification

The client must demonstrate the ongoing fulfillment of the program requirements to maintain their certification. This is done through different types of audits: monitoring or surveillance, recertification, scope expansion, unannounced audits, sampling, among others. CU will inform you about the audit program that corresponds to your operation. As a result of this process, CU will decide whether to maintain, expand, reduce, suspend or withdraw the certification granted.
