Control Union Certifications BV is only accredited for four of the Standard – Food Safety, Packaging materials, Agents & Brokers, and Storage & Distribution by RVA under registration nr. About the standard
Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standards or BRCGS (previously named as British Retail Consortium), is a Global Food Initiative (GFSI) benchmarked and recognized Food Safety certification program.
The company was founded in 1996 by retailers who wanted to harmonize food safety standards across the supply chain. Today BRCGS is globally recognized across both food and non-food categories and operates the most rigorous third-party certification scheme of its type.
BRCGS is a market-leading global brand that helps build confidence in the supply chain. The Global Standards for Food Safety, Packaging Materials, Storage and Distribution, Agents and Brokers, set the benchmark for good manufacturing practice and help provide assurance to customers that their products are safe, legal and of high quality.
Requirements
Requirements are based on the type of Standard selected. A good first step is to understand the requirements by purchasing or downloading the Global Standard you’re interested in from the BRCGS Bookshop and completing an ‘understanding the requirements’ or sites training course, before contacting Control Union for the audit.
